This sample is taken from a larger business plan for a hypothetical company, Fuzz Buzz, which introduces an innovative organic pesticide named EcoEssentials. This piece was written for a project in my Business & Administrative Writing class at UCSB. In these sections, I provide a comprehensive business description and conduct an industry analysis of the pesticide sector. This demonstrates my research and analytical skills. I exhibit audience awareness by crafting my writing to engage and persuade the reader, aiming to sell the product effectively.

Here I provide an excerpt of my analysis of Angela Francis’ TED Talk on the importance of shifting to a green economy. The purpose of this piece is to critically evaluate the content of her speech and her presentation style while assessing the overall effectiveness of her message. I emphasize the skill of precision in my writing and express my points with clarity and directness, avoiding unnecessary summarization, ambiguity or vague language.

This is an interactive interview simulation, designed using Twine, which follows a ‘choose your own adventure’ storytelling game model. I am very proud of this project because it pushed me beyond my comfort zone and knowledge of writing. The simulation is not only engaging but has the potential for diverse applications in the realm of education. I have aspirations to adapt this format for teaching about art and literature. In this project, my writing creates an immersive and engaging experience, motivating players to explore all possible paths which all break down into different storylines.
